Subscription, Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Introduction
This Subscription, Refund & Cancellation Policy explains your rights and our practices in relation to subscription plans on StorySparkle (the "Service"). We offer recurring subscription plans that automatically renew until cancelled. A subscription grants you a licence to access the Service for as long as your subscription remains active. Refunds and cancellations are subject to the provisions below.

3. Subscription Plans & Pricing
We offer two subscription plans:
- Monthly Flex: Billed monthly. Cancel anytime.
- Annual Saver: Billed annually. Cancel anytime.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method at the applicable rate.
4. Automatic Renewal
All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged the then-current subscription price at each renewal. Where required by law, we will send you an email reminder before your subscription renews.
5. How to Cancel Your Subscription
You may cancel your subscription at any time by visiting the Subscription pageand clicking the "Manage Subscription" button. This will open the Stripe Customer Portal where you can cancel your subscription.
- Upon cancellation, you will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period.
- No prorated refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.
- After your subscription ends, your account will revert to free access.
6. Cooling-Off Period & Digital Content
Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers generally have a 14-day "cooling-off" right for distance contracts. However, you agree that, by completing your purchase, you expressly consent to immediate delivery of the digital content (i.e. access to the Service) and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right to cancel under these Regulations once access has begun.
7. Refunds
- No General Refunds: All subscription payments are final. Once your payment is processed and access is granted, we do not offer refunds on change of mind, unused portions, or early cancellation.
- Defective Content: If you experience a technical issue or defect that prevents you from accessing the Service as described, please contact support@storysparkle.org within 30 days of your payment. We will evaluate your claim and, where appropriate, may issue a full or partial refund at our discretion.
8. Termination by StorySparkle
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access and subscription if you breach our Terms of Use or this Policy. In such cases, no refund will be issued for any remaining time on your subscription.
9. How to Request a Refund or Report an Issue
Please email support@storysparkle.org with:
- Your name and email used at purchase
- Date of payment and subscription plan
- Description of the technical issue or defect
We aim to respond to all valid requests within 5 business days.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when this Policy was most recently revised. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
11. Language Precedence
In the event of any inconsistency between the English language version of this policy document and any other language translations, the English language version shall take precedence.
12. Governing Law
This Policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under or in connection with this Policy will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
